Around Skagakaia there are islands and ocean, hiking trails and mountains, white sandy beaches and wildlife, - all in immediate reach by foot, rowing boat or bicycle.

Our picturesque wooden rowing boats are free to use and we have bicycles for hire. Join us exploring one of the many hiking trails, go ashore with Captain Tom in his fishing boat or just relax and spend the day in a deck chair at the quay with a good book.

The village near by has a few shops, museum and a coffee shop, but best way to have a chat with the locals are at the “hikers’ cottages” up in the hills nearby.

Skagakaia is definately a the place to stay for more days, take that longer break. Most of our guests stay for several days, a week or more, and there is still alot left to explore for their next visit.
