My grand father, Peder Hannibal, was the Post Master in Bø, and his house roomed both my grandparents home and the offices. In the stately Old Post House there is now a nice summer café serving delicious cakes from Grandma Hallfrid's recipee book, and in the evening restaurant you can enjoy home-made food, based on local products, and organic wine from further south in Europe.
History has been well taken care of here, and the house has been beautifully restored with support of the Norwegian Cultural Heritage Fund.
Opening hours: Monday - Saturday 14-21. Dinner served in restaurant from 19:00. Sunday cafe 12-15.
